Play "A Horse with No Name" (America)
Two chords. The whole song. Yes, really. The fastest "I can play a song!" win on the guitar.
The song alternates between Em and a D6add9 voicing — but for our purposes, just play Em → a "different shape that sounds like Em with extra colour" and call it a win.
Hold Em. For the second chord, lift everything off and just play the open strings 4 (D), 3 (G) and 2 (B). That’s your D6add9. Now alternate.
- 4 bars Em / 4 bars open chord. Loop slowly.
- Add a steady down-strum on every beat.
- Hum the verse melody while you strum.
