Technique 10 min·beginner

Your First Chord Changes

Speed comes from minimum movement. We drill a one-minute changes routine that builds real-world strumming muscle memory.

A chord change is one clean transition — you place all required fingers, strum once, and the chord rings without buzz.

Justin’s One-Minute Changes

Set a timer for 60 seconds and switch back-and-forth between two chords. Count every change. Your goal is 30+ in a minute.

Routine
  • 60s — Em ↔ D, count changes.
  • 60s — Em ↔ Am, count changes.
  • 60s — D ↔ Am, count changes.
  • Write your three numbers down. Tomorrow, beat them.
