[Intro]
EmMmm-mm-mm, mmm-mm-mm.
[Verse 1]
EmGrandma's hands, clapped in church on Sunday morning,
Grandma's hands, played a B7tambourine so well.
EmGrandma's hands, used to issue out a warning, she'd say;
B7"Billy don't you A7run so fast; B7might fall on a A7piece of glass,
B7"Might be snakes there A7in that grass", EmGrandma's hands.
[Verse 2]
EmGrandma's hands, soothed a local un-wed mother,
Grandma's hands, used to B7ache sometimes and swell.
EmGrandma's hands, used to lift her face and tell her;
B7"Baby, Grandma A7understands, B7that you really A7love that man,
B7Put yourself in A7Jesus' hands", EmGrandma's hands.
[Verse 3]
EmGrandma's hands, used to hand me piece of candy,
Grandma's hands, picked me B7up each time I fell.
EmGrandma's hands, boy, they really came in handy, she'd say;
B7"Matty don't you A7whip that boy, B7what you want to A7spank him for?
B7He didn't drop no A7apple core", but I B7don't have Grandma A7any more.
