"Kiss Me" by Sixpence None The Richer emerged from a spontaneous moment during a tour in a Dutch motel, with its writer calling the vocalist to share the new song almost immediately after writing it. The band performed it that very night, finding it an instant hit with fans. The song itself has a lighthearted, "poppier" sound compared to their earlier work, and while early drafts featured slightly edgier lyrics, the version we know sparkles with a gentler charm. It plays like an intimate, sweet serenade, capturing a moment of pure, unadulterated affection.
