The story behind the song

"Not Today" is an acoustic guitar ballad that delves into the profound pain of separation from a loved one. The title itself, "Not Today," reflects the heavy sentiment that while life may eventually ease, that relief isn't present in this moment of sorrow. It was featured in the romantic drama film Me Before You and later appeared on the deluxe edition of Imagine Dragons' third studio album, Evolve. Playing it captures a feeling of poignant longing and the quiet ache of a heart yearning for connection.
