The story behind the song

This Elton John song, appearing on the album Too Low for Zero, captures a feeling of emotional desolation. It paints a picture of stark contrast, where the warmth and joy usually associated with the middle of the year are replaced by the biting chill of winter, symbolizing a deep personal coldness or a relationship that has lost its warmth. Playing this song allows you to channel that profound sense of emotional disconnect and longing for warmth.
