The Gipsy Kings, a group with Catalan heritage, are known for blending Catalan rumba, flamenco, salsa, and pop into their music. Though born in France, their families were Spanish Romani who left Spain during the 1930s Spanish Civil War. They brought rumba flamenca, a pop-oriented style derived from traditional flamenco and rumba, to a global audience, often performing in Spanish with touches of Catalan, French, and Occitan. "Amor Mio" embodies their signature sound, inviting listeners into a world of passionate rhythm and heartfelt expression.
