"עטוף ברחמים" began as a cheerful, rhythmic melody before evolving into a deeply moving song. The lyrics, inspired by an ultrasound image seen by the lyricist while his wife was pregnant, are a mother's address to the developing fetus within her womb, and eventually, to her newborn child. This powerful theme has made it a song strongly associated with births, even played at the beginning of deliveries. At its heart, it plays like a tender lullaby, celebrating the profound connection between a mother and her unborn child.
