THOUGHT I KNEW - Weezer
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This is off of Weezer's new self-titled album (aka The Red Album). It wasn't accepted
i first submitted it for no reason i think, as it should be fully mostly correct, but i'm
it again, this time with the lyrics added.
(EDIT: note about the bridge: In the Video where Weezer is playing Thought I Knew live
the studio, you can see Brian Bell play some sort of chord around the 4th fret of the E
I've checked if its a G# but it sounds kind of off. If anyone knows what this chord
please tell me. I know the bass is playing an E in the song but Brian is playing
different).
Intro: D   A  G
Verse 1 (sorry about my past life...)
D   A   Gx2
D Bm G F#
Verse 2 (sorry about the pain)

Verse 3 (sorry about the harm)

Bridge (now that our worlds gone dark)

Here's the lyrics:
sorry about my past life
i'm sorry but we just missed
sorry it had to end up like this
sorry about the pain
sorry i forgot your name
sorry but you left me out there in the rain
thought i knew you better then
thought i knew your intentions
thought i knew but didn't have a clue
not a single damn thing was true
sorry about the harm
sorry i'm no good luck charm
sorry you didn't end up in my arms
thought i knew you better then
thought i knew your intentions
thought i knew but didn't have a clue
not a single damn thing was true
now that our
worlds gone dark
we've drained the well
blew out the spark
now we're left with broken hearts
trying to find a new place to start
thought i knew you better then
thought i knew your intentions
thought i knew but didn't have a clue
not a single damn thing -
thought i knew you better then
thought i knew your intentions
thought i knew but didn't have a clue
not a single damn thing was true
