The story behind the song

"Brand New Day" expresses a deep sense of hope, born from a moment when the songwriter was struggling spiritually. He found inspiration when a song with a fresh feeling and groove came on the radio, making things suddenly seem to make sense, like the sun coming out after dark clouds. This experience directly inspired the spiritual and redemptive themes woven throughout the lyrics. The song, featured on his 1970 album Moondance, plays like a warm, gospel-infused journey towards renewal.
