"Woman" is an ode to all women, inspired by a moment of realization about what they contribute to our lives. John Lennon described how it dawned on him that women truly are "the other half of the sky," a sentiment he whispers at the song's beginning. He wrote it while thinking of his wife, but also recognized the universal truth in his feelings, acknowledging everything he had taken for granted. This track from his 1980 album Double Fantasy was considered by Lennon to be his most Beatlesque song from the album. Playing this song channels a deep appreciation and reverence.
