The story behind the song

Alan Jackson is known for performing a style widely regarded as "neotraditional country" and for writing many of his own songs. This particular song appeared on his 2002 album, Drive. The song title itself suggests a narrative around social drinking, perhaps with a touch of humor or observation about a specific role someone might play in a group setting. Playing this song could evoke the feeling of a laid-back, observational country tune.
