"Crystal Ball" captures the feeling of emotional disconnection that can creep in when life gets overwhelmingly busy. The band found themselves constantly on the road, losing touch with each other as friends and struggling to communicate or express themselves, eventually realizing they weren't truly feeling anything. This song, from their 2006 album Under the Iron Sea, emerged from that realization, reflecting a moment of introspection on a tour bus in America. It plays like a yearning to rediscover genuine connection and feeling.
