"Thirty-Three" was the final single from The Smashing Pumpkins' third album, Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness, released in 1995. This song holds a unique place as the first single released after significant lineup changes within the band. Billy Corgan described it as a "simple song in a country tuning," and it was the first piece he wrote following the Siamese Dream tour. Interestingly, the drum machine track in the final recording is the exact one Corgan used in the demo, as he couldn't recreate it.
