Nirvana was an American rock band that emerged from the Seattle grunge scene in the late 1980s, becoming known for their dynamic contrasts between quiet verses and loud, heavy choruses. Founded by Kurt Cobain and Krist Novoselic, the band popularized alternative rock and became a flagship band for Generation X, influencing rock culture. While "Do You Love Me" is credited to Nirvana, it's a song originally by the Contours, a Motown group. Playing this song as Nirvana might means channeling a raw, energetic interpretation of a classic question of affection.
