"Serendipity" began as a deep, meaningful paragraph, with producers focusing on a strong melody as lyrics were often translated from English to Korean. The song, sung solo by Jimin, explores themes of following your dreams, love, identity, and purpose with gender-neutral lyrics. Jimin's goal with the song was to push himself as a vocalist. Musically, it's described as sensual and soothing, an electronic-tinged R&B track. It plays like a gentle exploration of profound connections and self-discovery.
