This song explores the idea that our internal state shapes our reality, suggesting that wherever we go, we carry our own "weather" with us. It tells the story of a melancholic character, lost in his lounge room, creating his own environment. The opening line and chorus were conceived early in the writing process, with the guitar riff following quickly. While the specific address mentioned in the lyrics is fictitious, it was inspired by a real street, chosen to contrast with the song's theme of internal struggle. At its heart, it plays like a reflection on personal agency and emotional landscape.
