Aurora Aksnes, known as AURORA, is a Norwegian singer, songwriter, and record producer recognized for blending electropop, folk, and art pop. She began writing songs and learning dance at age six, later learning percussion and production, and has been described as a pioneer of the Norwegian art pop scene. Her music gained wider recognition after a classmate posted it online without her knowledge when she was a teenager. This song, appearing on the "Room 17 5/8/2015" release, emerges from her early creative period. It plays like an intimate glimpse into the unfolding artistry of a unique musical voice.
