CNo one seemed to notice the Amman beside the Croad
He was Fjust a ragged soldier Dmout there in the G7cold
But he Cseemed to have a purpose Amonly known to Fhim
As he Cwalked along the streets that night G7through the town of BethleChem
In his head he held a memory of Amall the wars he'd Cknown
In his Fhand he clutched a medal Dmfor the bravery he'd G7shown
And the Cweight of every battle he Amcarried in his Fheart
But his Ceyes were clear and searching G7for a manger in the Cdark
Some are Amborn to Cgreatness Fsome are born to Cfall
Some are Ambound to be forCgotten like they Fnever lived at all
But we're Amall born to G7know Him and Cstand before His Flight
Like the soldier who G7found his king toCnight
He had marched for politicians Amserved under their Ccommand
And he Ffought for all the causes that Dmhe did not underG7stand
But it was Csomething deep inside him now Amthat led him on his Fway
With a Csingle star to guide him to G7were the baby Clay
Some are Amborn to Cgreatness Fsome are born to Cfall
Some are Ambound to be forCgotten like they Fnever lived at all
But we're Amall born to G7know Him and Cstand before His Flight
Like the soldier who G7found his king toCnight
He stood before the Son of God Amcome to pay our Cdebt
He Fsmiled up at the soldier that the Dmworld would soon G7forget
So he Cheld out his medal and Amsaid this for you I Fbring
CThere he swore allegiance to the G7newborn baby Cking
Some are Amborn to Cgreatness Fsome are born to Cfall
Some are Ambound to be forCgotten like they Fnever lived at all
But we're Amall born to know Him and Cstand before His Flight
Like the soldier who G7found his king toFnight
CLike the soldier who G7found his king toCnight
