"Night Rider" was written by Doc Pomus and Mort Shuman, and Elvis Presley recorded it for his album Pot Luck with Elvis. The song was recorded on October 15, 1961, with Jerry Kennedy and Scotty Moore on guitar, Bob Moore on bass, Buddy Harman and D.J. Fontana on drums, and Floyd Cramer on piano and organ. In 1963, it was released as the B-side to "Kiss Me Quick" in Europe and later appeared in Presley's 1965 film Tickle Me.
