The story behind the song

"Levon" tells the story of a character named Levon, who was born on Christmas Day. While the character's father, Alvin Tostig, is fictional, the name Levon was possibly inspired by Levon Helm of The Band, a group the songwriters admired. Though the connection to Helm was later denied, the song paints a picture of a life that feels both ordinary and mythic. It's a narrative that unfolds with a sense of destiny and the quiet passage of time.
