The story behind the song

"Monday Morning" was written and sung by Fleetwood Mac guitarist Lindsey Buckingham. It was the first track on the band's 1975 album, Fleetwood Mac. The song was originally intended for a second Buckingham Nicks LP, but that album never came to be. Buckingham presented "Monday Morning" along with other demos to the rest of Fleetwood Mac during the 1975 recording sessions, with drummer Mick Fleetwood taking an immediate liking to it.
