The story behind the song

"On a Plain" is a song from Nirvana's second album, Nevermind, and was written by Kurt Cobain. The final lyrics for the song were completed just before the vocals were recorded for the album. It's built on the band's characteristic dynamic contrasts, moving between quieter sections and loud, heavy choruses. The song, despite its seemingly straightforward title, can feel like a journey through the raw, unpolished energy that defined the band's sound.
