The story behind the song

"Roulette" appears on the album Steal This Album! by System Of A Down. This Armenian-American heavy metal band is known for their politically charged lyrics, often addressing social and political issues. While many of their songs carry strong messages like anti-war themes or critiques of societal systems, "Roulette" stands apart with a different kind of intensity. It plays like a raw, stripped-down expression of vulnerability and emotional risk.
