The story behind the song

"Waiting For An Alibi" is a dynamic track from Thin Lizzy's 1979 album, Black Rose: A Rock Legend. This album notably featured Gary Moore as a member, though he departed shortly after its recording. The song itself underwent a rework from its original recording, with a demo featuring Brian Robertson on lead guitar alongside Scott Gorham before Moore's return to the band. An extended version of the song includes a third verse and chorus not present in the single release. Playing this song feels like stepping into a moment of intense anticipation, a powerful declaration of readiness for whatever comes next.
