"El Reloj Cucú" tells the poignant story of a child grappling with the loss of their father. The lyrics evoke tender memories of the father tucking the child into bed, a moment now tinged with absence. The chorus expresses a deep longing, personifying the cuckoo clock with a plea to "turn on the light and turn off the time," a wish to rewind to happier days and dispel the darkness of grief. This song from Maná's 1995 album, Cuando los Ángeles Lloran, captures the innocence and profound sorrow of a child's perspective on loss. It plays like a heartfelt lament for what once was.
