My Sweet Lord – George Harrison
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Written by: George Harrison
From: "Concert for Bangla Desh"
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yCG7YNs2iIU
Studio version on "All Things Must Pass"
Tabbed by: maguri
Tuning: Standard
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
capo: 2nd fret
play: D (later key change to E)
key: E (later key change to F#)
Overall not too difficult, but one part in the verse is actually very
hard to pinpoint: the bar with the diminished chord, D#dim7 at the
beginning and Ddim7 after the key change. I sometimes have the impression
that there are two chords there (especially in the studio version).
It must be a very subtle change, though. Maybe it is | D#dim7 B7/D# |
which would involve only one finger:
D#dim7 x-x-1-2-1-2
B7/D# x-x-1-2-0-2
For the second part after the key change it would be | Fdim7 C#7/E# |
Fdim7 x-x-3-4-3-4
C#7/E# x-x-3-4-2-4
The part works well, however, using just the diminished chord, which is
what I opted for below. Suggestions are highly welcome!
